Manitowoc Unveils High-Capacity Potain MCR 815 Crane

Manitowoc has introduced the Potain MCR 815, a new high-capacity luffing jib tower crane from its Zhangjiagang factory in China. The MCR 815 is built for challenging infrastructure and high-rise projects, with a maximum lifting capability of 64 tonnes, double that of its predecessor.

Featuring a 70-meter jib with an out-of-service radius of just 16 meters, the crane is ideal for tight urban sites. It offers powerful lifting capabilities across multiple jib configurations and reeving setups, with a new high-speed hoist delivering line speeds up to 185 m/min.

The MCR 815 can achieve freestanding heights up to 65.6 meters and reach 230.6 meters when tied to a structure, making it well-suited for complex and large-scale builds in Asia and emerging markets.
